Steering Committee, The Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate, MSU
(2020-2025) Assist with the planning and execution of the national AGEP Student Success Conference, as well as serving as a judge, moderator, and panelist; participate in the Washington D.C. Capitol Advocacy trip; serve as a mentor and recruitment ambassador at the Summer Research Opportunities Programs (SROP), co-plan and moderate monthly learning community meetings; and support with other programs that promote students’ success and well-being—contributing to the over 70% advanced degree graduation rate of AGEP participants (Thomas et al., 2021).
Advisory Board, Graduate Educator Advancement and Teaching Office
(2022-2025) Created and developed resources and professional development opportunities to support graduate student educators’ teaching and learning. Applied evidence-based teaching practices and inclusive pedagogy to support teaching assistants in creating accessible learning experiences. Supported the planning and execution and led sessions for bi-weekly Lunch & Learns and pedagogy workshops, the 2-3-day semesterly Graduate Teaching Assistant Institute, annual Certification in College Teaching Institute, and educator well-being initiatives.

(2018-2020) Collaborated with a 7-member multicultural (entirely student-ran) coalition and supported the Office of Undergraduate Admission in diversity initiatives and outreach yielding in the “most ethnically diverse [admits] in more than 30 years,” in 2020 (Gilmore et. al, 2022 and UC Berkeley Public Affairs). Board Retention: 733% Increase. Supported and advised the assistant directors, coordinators, and interns as we organized up to 30+ programs each semester including. Managed a cohort of 70-80 volunteers and interns
